1. Who is responsible
Tony Emmanuel Okereke, operating AutoRadar Plus as an individual (sole trader), is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: tradespheric@gmail.com.
2. Signing up
You can create an account with email and password (confirmed by an email link) or with Google sign-in. With Google sign-in, Google shares your name, email address and account ID with us; Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
3. What we collect and why
Account data (email, password hash, sign-in times) to create and secure your account — performance of the contract. Service data (saved filters, alerts, alert settings, plan) to run the radar. Purchase data (plan, status, period, purchase IDs from Paddle or Google Play) to unlock paid features; we never receive card details. Family (optional, consent-based): when you join a circle and switch sharing on, your precise location, accuracy, speed and battery level are shared with the members of that circle only; you can pause at any time; location history is deleted after 24 hours. Safe-place arrivals/departures and SOS alerts are shown to the circle. Family video calls run directly between the two devices, encrypted, and are never recorded or stored; Google's public connection servers (STUN) help the devices find each other and see their network addresses. Marketplace: offers you post, including photos, text, your seller name, phone and email, are visible to signed-in users; reports and blocks you make are used for moderation. Speed cameras: camera locations you report and your votes, to show community warnings. Telegram (optional): your Telegram chat ID and username to send alerts. Support messages (name, email, message) to answer you. Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs) for security and troubleshooting — legitimate interests.
4. Who we share it with
Hosting and database providers that run the app for us; Paddle.com (Merchant of Record for web subscriptions) and Google Play (Android subscriptions) for payments, tax and invoices; Google for Google sign-in and video-call connection servers; Telegram if you link it; our email delivery provider for account and sign-in emails; Esri (ArcGIS) map tiles, which receive your IP address and the map area you view; other users only as described above (Family circle, Marketplace); professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your data and show no third-party advertising or tracking. All data travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS; video calls with DTLS-SRTP).
5. International transfers
Some providers process data outside the EEA/UK. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or EU Standard Contractual Clauses as safeguards.
6. Retention and deletion
Data is kept while your account exists; Family location history is deleted after 24 hours and Marketplace offers expire after 60 days unless renewed. You can delete your account in the app (Plan → Delete my profile) or on the web at autoradar-plus.com/delete-account. This deletes your login, profile, filters, alerts, settings, Telegram link, Marketplace offers, photos and contacts, your reports and blocks, Family memberships, locations, events and SOS alerts, Dealer team seats, camera votes and support messages. Shared Family circles are handed to another member. Kept: speed-camera points you reported, without any link to you; payment and invoice records held by Paddle and Google Play for the statutory tax period (in Germany up to 10 years); technical security logs for a short period. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in Google Play or under Manage billing.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests; you can withdraw consent (e.g. Family sharing) at any time. Write to the address above and we will answer within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, row-level access controls so users can only reach their own data, private photo storage, hashed passwords and restricted administrative access.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use only essential cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and to run the app. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.
